Biography
Dr Adriana Ortega holds a PhD in Applied Psychology and a Master of Science in Occupational Health Psychology from the University of Nottingham, England, and a BA in Behavioural Science with a minor in Women's Studies from Green Mountain College, USA. She obtained an HRDF training certification and ICF trained coach certification and currently is working towards her international certification as a health coach.
Dr Adriana has over 18 years of experience working as an applied psychology and social science researcher across the United Kingdom, Scandinavia and South East Asia. She also has a wide-ranging volunteering experience in areas related to community health, community sustainable development, human resource management, organizational behaviour, and occupational health, as well as in coaching and mentoring programs for women, youth and marginalized groups. She has been working on several projects focusing on the organizational development of non-profit strategies, served as visiting lecturer at the Centre for distance education at Aligarh Muslim University in India, and as a guest speaker on sustainable leadership and women empowerment at Sri Sai Ram Engineering College in Chennai, India during the summer semester of 2017. Her applied research work is in the areas of Occupational Health Psychology, Health risk behaviour and health behaviour change; and Positive Youth Development, her publications can be found on Google Scholar.
