Biography
Dr. Adel Nadjaran Toosi has joined Faculty of Information Technology at Monash University in May 2018. Before he joined Monash University, he worked as a Research Fellow in the Cloud Computing and Distributed Systems (CLOUDS) Laboratory in the School of Computing and Information Systems (CIS) at the University of Melbourne for more than three years. He received his Ph.D. degree in Computer Science and Software Engineering from the University of Melbourne in 2015. His thesis was one of the two theses nominated for the Chancellor's Prize for Excellence in the Ph.D. Thesis and John Melvin Memorial Scholarship for the Best Ph.D. Thesis in Engineering. Adel has made significant contributions to the areas of resource management and software systems for cloud computing. His research interests include Distributed Systems, Cloud Computing, Software-Defined Networking (SDN), Green Computing, and Soft Computing. He is currently working on resource management for Software-Defined Networking (SDN)-enabled cloud computing environments. For more details, please visit his homepage: http//adelnadjarantoosi.info.
