Within the School of Social Sciences, our Human Geography, Anthropology and Development Studies Section combines research expertise that addresses the urgent crises of ecological sustainability, health, technological change and development through critical, place-based research and deep community engagement. By uncovering the complex social drivers behind these challenges, we empower communities to build just, resilient, and hopeful futures, informing both policy and practice for real-world impact.
