Press/Media: Expert Comment

Description

During the third Lunchtime Talk Series powered by PechaKucha on 29 September 2021, Dr Alpha Agape Gopalai from the School of Engineering presented how wearable technologies are revolutionizing how we monitor our health and plan our routines. These technologies are creating endless potential in various fields of application - it would seem today that we are limited only by our very own imagination on what is possible and what is not. In his talk, he shared some of the recent findings they have made in the area.

They looked at the potential benefit of noise in maintaining an excellent stable posture, the use of machine learning for long term monitoring and the prospects of an exoskeleton. Their findings will hopefully create more potential applications for wearable technologies.
