DescriptionGoogle the term "leaky gut" and you'd think it's to blame for, well, everything. Food intolerances, depression, attention deficit disorders, cancer and autoimmune diseases such as multiple sclerosis are all being pinned on having a gut wall that's too porous, allowing toxins to spill into the bloodstream and lead to health problems.

But while leaky gut – or gut permeability – does exist and diet is thought to be a culprit, knowing which foods are involved and how a leaky gut might affect our health is still a work in progress.
