Students want digital feedback

    Description

University students say that digitally recorded feedback from lecturers about their assessments is better than text comments, according to a new study by Monash University researchers that surveyed thousands of students.

While most students were satisfied with the detail and usability of all forms of comments they received on their assignments, they rated digital recordings more highly than handwritten responses.

The students also said that electronic annotations and digital recordings were better than marking sheets and rubrics for giving detailed and personalised comments about their work.
