Description

As a response to the waste crisis created by China's refusal to accept materials for recycling, the Victorian Government is considering 5 proposed new waste-to-energy facilitities across the state. The Greens have called for a 10-year moratorium on Waste-to-Energy plants due to concerns that they will compromise efforts to sort and recycling waste. I provided an expert opinion on this issue based on my experience researching themes of waste, reuse and recycling over the last 10 years.
