Title Interview with Charles Livingstone, Monash Uni Degree of recognition National Media name/outlet ABC Radio Melbourne Media type Radio Duration/Length/Size 5 mins 32 secs Country/Territory Australia Date 24/10/17 Description Interview with Charles Livingstone, Gambling Researcher, Monash University. Epstein says last week there were whistleblowers against Crown and they had their allegations and evidence tabled in the Senate by Nick Xenophon. He says MP Andrew Wilkie tried to table the fourth whistleblower allegations in the House of Representatives where Malcolm Turnbull's government controls the numbers and Christopher Pyne leads efforts in the House. He says Xenophon and Wilkie said the whistleblowers do not trust the Victorian Commission for Gambling and Liquor Regulation. He asks Livingstone he knows what the fourth whistleblower allegations are. Livingstone says he understands the person is prepared to name names and report the names of those people who directed the alleged activities. He says it also includes the paper trail in relations to the allegations made against Crown. He mentions the allegation was blocked by the Liberals. He says the problem with the regulator is that they are also complicit in the activities allegedly. He says the Victorian Auditor-General was critical of the relationship between the regulator and the casino as well. He says that he understands that there are plenty of people who know about the allegations against Crown but they are waiting if the people would come forward. He says that the Commonwealth and State Government have the power to investigate the matters and the Austrac allegations are actually a Federal responsibility. He says the State Government should hold an independent inquiry because of the accusations against the regulator. Producer/Author rafael Epstein URL n/a Persons Charles Livingstone
