    The introduction of the pink ball and day/nighters into Test cricket has been touted as the saviour of the longer form of the game.  The market would suggest otherwise. This article shows that the cricket market, both nationally and internationally, suggests that within decades the T20 format will be the game, fuelled by media money and a new generation of fans raised on the Indian Premier League and Australia's Big Bash.
