Description

Doctors have expressed concern over the rising energy bill, noting it is allowing elderly people to freeze to death. A study of hypothermia has found, in the worst cases, the victims were not only old but were living on pension and isolation. Over the seven-year study, around 217 hypothermia patients presented to two hospitals. Around 90% of the elderly patients contracted it while indoors, 70% of them were pensioners and 60% live alone. With this, Victorians are being urged to jump on the new discount called the Victorian default which will start next month.
