This article describes the VMAX study of methamphetamine use in Victoria and, specifically, a sub-study that I undertook in collaboration with colleagues at Monash Rural Health and the Burnet Institute. Previously, this sub-study has been published in the journal Health and Social Care in the Community under the title 'Level and correlates of social support among Australians who primarily smoke methamphetamine'.
