CAT HOPE TO GIVE PEGGY GLANVILLE-HICKS ADDRESS

Professor Cat Hope has been announced as the presenter of this year’s Peggy Glanville-Hicks Address. Hope, a composer, performer, songwriter, noise artist and researcher, was awarded the APRA | AMC Award for Excellence in Experimental Music in 2011 and 2014 and is Head of the Sir Zelman Cowen School of Music at Monash University. Her new opera Speechless, a personal response to the 2014 Human Rights Commission report, will have its world premiere at next year’s Perth Festival.
