The project was among the top 5% of winners of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Global Fellowships programme of the European Union, with a total score of 96.60/100, in a highly competitive year for the record number of applications (11,573 in total, +17% compared to 2019).

The project CRAFT, “Cartonnage Regionalism in the Ateliers of the Fayum Territory”, aims to investigate Graeco-Roman funerary artefacts from Egypt (e.g. mummy masks) in international museums. With a multi-disciplinary approach, 3D reconstructions and archaeometric investigations it will improve our understanding of the artefacts and the socio-cultural context of their production.
