    DescriptionOne in 5 Victorian women will haemorrhage after giving birth. Post-partum haemorrhage is the leading cause of maternity-related deaths worldwide. Dr Sharon Licqurish is working with the Epworth Freemasons and with a team of scientists from Monash University to analyse a data from 800,000 cases of birth to develop an algorithm to calculate and evaluate risk factors that can be put into a computer to provide a probability that a woman will have a haemorrhage.
