Meeting of the Waters: Locative Media Oceania (LOM) is an online creative and educational program exploring the themes of water, climate change, deep time and cultural knowledge. Teams of experts elaborate a proposal around waters.The objectives of the program are to:
* Encourage new communities to emerge.
* Enrich the way you practice your profession.
* Connect people across disciplines and geographies.
* To support collective learning and the practice of locative
* To bring stories, places and their people together, sharing concern for the global planetary crises of today.
* To find creative and practical ways to raise ecological awareness and practical action through co-creation, creativity and teamwork.
Through locative media and storytelling we connect people with each other, their places and their ancestral knowledge. The themes focus on a shared concern and the need to act for the restoration of ecosystems, living with climate change, plus the impacts of forced migration and the loss of biodiversity.
Meeting of the Waters: Locative Media Oceania is a collaboration between Supercluster and Treecreate. Hosted by University of Canberra Centre for Applied Water Science.
