Description

A Human Rights Consultation Committee was established in Tasmania (within the Tasmanian Law Reform Institute), and it was tasked with inquiring into 'how human rights are currently protected in Tasmania and whether the protection of human rights can be enhanced or extended'. I wrote a submission to the Committee exploring how the current protections in Tasmania were inadequate and how the enactment of human rights legislation will enhance human rights protection in Tasmania.
