The forum was opened by Mr Joe Calafiore CEO, TAC, with The Hon. Robin Scott MP, Minister Finance launching TAC International. Dr Soames Job from the World Bank presented on the importance of research and measures to address serious injuries globally. Other speakers included Jessica Truong (Global NCAP) on the role of vehicle safety in reducing injuries, and Rob McInerney (iRAP) on the role of safety infrastrucutre in reducing serious injuries.

Professor Ian Smith Vice-Provost, Monash University spoke and highlighted MUARC’s role in applied accident and injury research, and introducted A/Professor Michael Fitzharris, who along with Sujanie Pieris presented the first findings from the MUARC-TAC ECIS program.

The Panel discussion included Dr Job, A/Prof Fitzharris, Michael Nieuwesteeg (Director, Research TAC) and Inspector Stuart McGregor (Victoria Police).
