Description

Many Australians experience chronic loneliness and 'social prescribing' is an intervention designed to strengthen community connections for people at risk.

Social prescribing links people with sources of support within the community to help improve their health and wellbeing. It aims to address wider determinants of health by connecting people to voluntary organisations and community groups offering activities. Research shows that while most pharmacists have a good understanding of social prescribing, they lacked experience with it.

This webinar will equip pharmacists with further knowledge and skills required to identify and support people at risk or experiencing loneliness and social isolation through social prescribing
