This project investigates long-term Aboriginal use of maritime environments over the past 6000 years based on excavation of mainland and island midden sites located up to 40km offshore accross the Shoalwater Bay region of Central Queensland. The research is a joint /partnership project with the local Darumbal Aboriginal community.
