Description
The TAC has a core objective of reducing the incidence of crashes and for facilitating post-crash care, rehabilitation and other forms of assistance for those injured in crashes. The ECIS has examined 400 serious injury crashes in forensic detail to understand the contributing factors, injury consequences, and to inform effective countermeasures to eliminate serious injury on Victorian roads.
This second Symposium will recap on the findings from the first ECIS report and share key insights from the final three reports of this extensive study:
Report 1: Overview and Analysis of Crash Types, Injury Outcomes and Contributing Factors
Report 2: Speed, Crash Risk and Injury Severity
Report 3: Understanding Contributing Factors for Serious Injury Crashes using Crash Chain Analysis
Report 4: Identification of Countermeasures to Address Serious Injury Crashes
Key speaker, Associate Professor Michael Fitzharris from the Monash University Accident Research Centre will present the key findings.
Michael will be joined by an expert panel including Dr Soames Job, Global Lead Road Safety at World Bank, and other Road Safety Leaders.
