This invited presentation explores the intersection of ageing, older driver licensing policies, and safe mobility. It underscores the challenges of balancing older drivers’ mobility needs with community safety concerns, emphasising evidence-based strategies to promote safe mobility for this growing demographic. Being invited to present at SAFER—the Vehicle and Traffic Safety Centre at Chalmers University of Technology—highlights the international relevance of this research. SAFER serves as a collaborative platform where partners from society, academia, and industry converge to advance road transport safety. The centre's commitment to Vision Zero and its role in fostering cross-sector collaboration make it a pivotal institution in the global road safety landscape.
