Angela is a performance artist and a scholar from Italy, who lectures in European Languages and Cultures. With a focus on socially-engaged art and education innovation, Angela works at the nexus between art, performance and embodiment studies, Italian and migration studies. Through a practice-as-research and interdisciplinary approach, she investigates the body-place relationship, identity and sense of belonging as permeable processes. Angela has extensive experience teaching from primary to tertiary education to students from diverse social and cultural backgrounds and abilities. She has worked in multicultural, community-engaged art projects, both in Europe and Australia. She sits in the Brimbank Arts Advisory Committee for Public Art & Community Engagement (Sunshine, VIC), collaborates with the Ethnic Communities' Council of Victoria (ECCV), and is a member of International Association of Art UNESCO, and TaPRA (UK). Angela has published internationally on performance and public art, artivism, audience reception, and education. She has presented her work internationally, including at the Biennale of Australian Art, Daegu Art Factory (SK), Performance Studies International Conference, the MAXXI Museum in Rome (IT), and the 12th Istanbul Biennial (TK).
