Description

In marking NAIDOC Week the 2023 theme of 'For Our Elders', Monash’s Pro Vice Chancellor (Indigenous), Professor Tristan Kennedy, led a very well attended University-wide Indigenous Research Showcase in the Chancellery. The Showcase featured high-quality presentations by Indigenous researchers from across the University. Speakers from our Faculty included the Director of the Monash Indigenous Studies Centre and Palawa woman, Professor Kylie Cripps, and PhD researcher and Jaru woman, Ms Jacinta Walsh. Both spoke insightfully and movingly about their research, Indigenous-centred perspectives, the guidance and power of elders, and making an impact with and on communities.
