Monash Rural Health Education Symposium 2021

Description

2021 has not been quite what we expected it to be in the way it has unfolded. The Monash Rural Health community has dealt with it by again showing resilience beyond that of many others. In 2020, the Symposium highlighted adaptation and resilience in education. This year that adaptation and resilience has been built upon. The new knowledge and skills associated with it are important to share with each other as a form of recognition and strength building, and to communicate how the unexpected has been dealt with and overcome.

In choosing "Wellbeing" as our theme, we wanted to acknowledge the resilience and flexibility that started in 2020 and has continued ever since. Every part of MRH has exhibited strength and fought for the wellbeing of students and staff alike. This year we would like to honour that and celebrate the inherent character that enables such strength and resolve.

This year's Symposium will build skills and give practical advice on, and examples of, what's been going on across the School. You'll hear from colleagues about their challenges and triumphs and have opportunities to join forces with others to discuss, appraise and remedy topics and issues that affect us all. The aim is to increase your confidence and, importantly, to give you time to network with colleagues from the School, University and clinical areas.

Our featured speaker is Professor Michael Henderson, Professor of Digital Futures, Faculty of Education, Monash University.
