MATRIX Worshop: Modern Challenges in Numerical Approximation of PDEs

Activity: Participating in or organising an event types › Contribution to workshop, seminar, course

Description

This MATRIX program aims to bring together experts from both applied and computational perspectives. Mathematicians working on application-driven Partial Differential Equation (PDE) models will present recent modelling developments and highlight the limitations of current numerical approximation methods available for applications ranging from biomedical to geophysical systems. Complementing this, numerical specialists will share advances across a broad spectrum of state-of-the-art Finite Element and Neural Network–based approaches for PDEs, including stabilized and residual minimization techniques, structure-preserving and high-order discretizations, as well as unfitted and multi-scale methods.
