Description
The annual book club for secondary school teachers of French aims to promote the diversity of French language literature from around the world and provide teachers with professional development opportunities to expand their knowledge of Francophone literature and develop pedagogical resources and strategies for the benefit of both themselves and their students. The project is specifically directed towards final year teachers of French in Victoria as year 12 students are required to develop a discussion theme on an aspect of the French and Francophone world for their end-of-year oral examination. The book club is free for secondary school teachers of French and aims to decentre, decolonise and diversify the pedagogical content that has historically featured in French-language syllabi in Victoria. Accordingly, the book club promotes the work of authors writing in French with an emphasis on literary production from Francophone nations beyond Metropolitan France.| Period | 2023 → … |
